WILDERNESS TREE WEEK WORKSHOP

with Tim Kovar

This is where my heart soars—a full week in the wilderness, climbing trees. Those who have taken my TREE TIME workshops know how powerful it is to experience quiet time in a tree. Likewise, in Wilderness Tree Week you can expect to find your connection with trees in a true and profound way.

This event takes place in a remote area in the Siskiyou Mountains in Oregon, about 150 feet above the forest floor. It is designed for those who are comfortable with wilderness settings and both DRT and SRT tree climbing. You must be fluent in canopy movement and confident of your climbing skills. We will be sleeping in a different tree every night, traversing from tree to tree every day, preparing our food and taking care of other bodily needs all while aloft.

The first two days we prepare for a 72-hour arboreal wilderness experience aloft. The last day is set aside to discuss, reflect and decompress. You must have your own DRT and SRT climbing equipment, Treeboat (or equivalent) and camping gear. Communal food and cooking will be provided.

Enrollment is open to graduates of any Tree Climbing Northwest Tree Week Course.  If interested in this adventure please contact me for an interview: Tim “Tengu” Kovar, treekster(at)mac.com.

7 days, August 30-September 5, 2009.

Tuition $1000 includes meals
