Tree Climbing Northwest operates out of three locations in OREGON, USA: - in Oregon City, near Portland - in Cave Junction in southern Oregon - at New Tribe near Grants Pass Be sure to check your welcome letter for the location of your course or event. NEW TRIBE LOCATION The home of New Tribe's workshops near Grants Pass, Oregon New Tribe is housed in a converted historic Grange Hall in rural southern Oregon about 14 miles southwest of the town of Grants Pass. Because US Forest Service land is just a mile away, and home to some magnificent old pines and firs on a ridgetop with a majestic view, we often use New Tribe as the base for wilderness climbing adventures. We also have indoor life-safety anchors here for twenty-foot climbing ropes. Using these, we can introduce you to the ropes before we venture up into the forest. When you come to New Tribe for your TCNW occasion, consider us for your lodging choice. This is also the home of New Tribe co-owner Sophia Sparks, and with prior arrangement, she will welcome you to stay in one of our cozy guest rooms. Next door is the Shan Creek Cafe, serving a variety of delectable fresh gourmet meals Thursday through Sunday. There is also a handy convenience store nearby with an old fashioned grill. Below you will find additional listings for local lodging in Grants Pass. See the map below for directions to this site. The nearest airport is in Medford, Oregon (MFR). Car rentals are available at the airport. Driving time from the airport to New Tribe is about an hour. |
