This is a specialized beginning tree climbing course for those who are most interested in climbing taller trees using ascending and descending hardware on a firm rope. This technique is favored by canopy researchers who climb over 80 feet into tall conifers or emergent rain forest trees.
The SRT Tree Week Course goes into canopy access, equipment use, and rigging tall trees. We will be on rope for most of the class. This course is both physically and mentally demanding. This is a beginner's course and no previous climbing experience or training is required. However, if you are concerned about fear of heights, we recommend you prepare for this course by first taking the Basic Tree Climbing Course (BTCC) or Basic Tree Week.

This is an intense course and enrollment is limited to two students per class. This guarantees you’ll receive plenty of personal attention from the instructor. Because space is so limited, we urge you to sign up as early as possible to reserve your place for the dates you prefer.
